Chamberlain Stean & West are proud to be corporate sponsors of the Hospice of St Francis. We joined their Corporate Partner Network in 2014 and are privileged to have seen how the fabulous work of the hospice helps so many people and their family.
The support offered by the hospice became particularly special for us when they helped Gemma, daughter of Chamberlain Stean & West director, Chris West, with their Wellness techniques, and massages throughout Gemma’s battle against breast cancer.
Sadly, Gemma passed away peacefully in her sleep on 18 April after a 5-year fight. She was only 38.
Gemma was a lovely person both inside and out who enjoyed a real zest of life. She was a keen horse rider having started at Pony Club at the age of 10. After Pony Club, Dora (pictured with her above), was a naughty and mischievous 18-hand gentle giant that Gemma owned for 12 years.
Gemma had an infectious giggle which so many of her friends, and her cancer nurses loved. Her nurses used to compete to be with her for her infusions and tests.
If you would like to help us help the Hospice support others facing similar battles, Chris has started a Just Giving page for people to make a donation.
